📢2023 Coaching Announcement
It is with great pleasure that the KFNC committee can announce the reappointment of Damien Kennedy as Senior football coach for season 2023. Damien and his team have done an excellent job this year guiding the 1st XVIII side to finish the Home and Away season perched 4th on the ladder with an exciting finals series beckoning. Damien has endured a couple of seasons of COVID effected football but has still managed to build an exciting young team that has showed significant improvement over his tenure. We are also looking to further improve our coaching group and with this in mind we would like to announce that Brad Crowther will be reappointed as Senior assistant coach for 2023. Brad’s role will come with increased areas of responsibility in all facets of coaching and in particular will be charged with taking a lead role in running preseason training and the preseason fitness camp. We are very pleased to have Damien and Brad so keen to work cohesively with both as passionate as ever for future success. We will be looking to explore additional leadership and coaching assistance where necessary prior to 2023. Another addition that we would like to announce is the appointment of experienced club stalwart Tim Few as our “Director of Coaching” for next season. Tim will be available to provide support and advice to all levels of football coaching from the 5th XVIII to 1st XVIII with a focus on building strong coaching teams to support our playing groups. We hope that with some clarity to our 2023 senior football structure we now provide our playing group and coaches an opportunity to fully focus on our 2022 finals campaign of which we hope to play a major part.
